Aloha Rick wrote his first poem at the age of 14, then wrote 20 more in his senior year of high school. He had a 26-year writer’s block and in the year 2005, he experienced some hardships that made him look at things spiritually and poetically. It allowed him to appreciate life and all it has to offer. It allowed him to journal his life story by using poetry. He was also gifted with the gift of empathy and compassion that allowed him to write through the eyes of others and tell their stories.
